Pastor Jon Evans was orginally from Geneva OH but raised in Los Angeles, CA.  He attended Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, CO and graduated from Living Word University, Mesa, AZ with a BA and Masters Degrees in Theology. 

He spent 20 years in Children's Ministry before accepting a call to AWCC in 2013. 

He is married to Pastor Katie. They have a daughter and three grandsons.

Pastor Katie Evans originally came from Connecticut to AZ by way of Los Angeles, CA. She attended Eastern Connecticut State University  receiving a BA in Applied Social Relations. She has earned a BA, cum laude and Masters Degree, summa cum laude in Theology and Bible Studies at Living Word Bible College and has completed her Doctorate in Theology. 

She is also Professsor of Theology at Living Word Bible College in Mesa, AZ, She teaches Bible Study at AWCC and Second Saturday Ministeries. Her ministry focus is on women who come to Christ later in life. 

Pastor Katie is married to Pastor Jon. They have a daughter and three grandsons.

Tim DeRosso has been a Music Pastor for 48 years. He went to college at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington where he graduated with a degree in Music and Education. He did post graduate studies at Portland State University and Warner Pacific College. He has completed the master’s classes in choral conducting with Dr. Gary Bonner.

Tim has served in seven different churches in Oregon, Washington, California and Arizona. While working as a music minister he has directed adult, youth, and kid’s choirs and overseeing other directors.

Sandy, Tim’s wife, had piano lessons from the same teacher in Jr. & Sr. High School. They just celebrated their 50^th class reunion in September. They have served together in music ministry for over twenty years and have been married for eight years.

Born in Batavia, New York, Joan moved to the valley when she was very young.  She grew up in Scottsdale, AZ and has lived all over the valley ever since.  She has two children – her daughter lives here in valley and has three children, her son lives in Colorado and has three children.  Joan started her career in medical transcription at Boswell, Phoenix Baptist, and Scottsdale Healthcare.  She has been working as a supervisor or transcriptionist in the medical field for most of her life. 

After retirement, Joan decided to work as our Church Secretary in 2022, and has attended Apache Wells Community Church since 2013.  Joan loves meeting new people, traveling, and exploring new places.  

Marilyn was born and raised in California.  She graduated from Delano High School in Delano, CA, in 1970, and later graduated with a BSBA from the University of Phoenix, and a minor in Accounting from Cal State Fullerton.

She met her first computer in 1977 (a handheld) while working as a bookkeeper for a crop-dusting company in Delano.  Then graduated to PCs in 1982 while working as a staff accountant for an accounting firm in Carmel, CA.  In the years since, she has worked as an office manager, a business owner, and an Oracle accounting software implementation consultant, end-user trainer, and software support engineer.  After retiring from Oracle in 2018, and losing her mother in 2019, Marilyn chose to re-join the workforce part-time, and became AWCChurch's newest Financial Secretary on August 1, 2021.
